The modern two-story building with tall, wide windows and a spire was built in 1985, and the first passengers were welcomed a year later. GES Construction carried out the reconstruction of the Southern River Terminal, within the framework of which the building was given a modern look, and equipped with modern engineering systems to ensure passenger comfort.

The Southern River Station is located on the right bank of the Moscow River, in the Nagatinsky backwater.
